Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is our great pleasure and privilege to announce that the 2018 International Congress on Electrocardiology (ICE2018) will be held in Makuhari Messe, Chiba City, Japan, from 28th (Thursday AM) to 30th (Saturday AM) June 2018. The ICE2018 will be the joint meeting of the 45th Congress of the International Society of Electrocardiology (ISE) and the 18th Congress of the International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology (ISHNE). In addition, at the same time the 38th Congress of the Japanese Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology (JASHNE) and the 33rd Congress of the Japanese Society for Computerized Electrocardiology (JSCE) will be held in the same place.
Until 2016, the congress of the ISE was held annually and the congress of the ISHNE was held biennially. Two of the Society had been held separately in a different time and place. Last year (2017), the congress of the ISE and ISHNE was held together in Portland City, U.S.A. and it was very successful. The academic quality of the congress was very high and the congress attracted many participants and helped to share new and practical information on the topics. To be held the congress in Japan, this is the fourth time (lastly in 2004) for the ISE and the third time (lastly in 2009) for the ISHNE. At those times, many researchers, physicians, and paramedical staffs participated and enjoyed the meeting.
In this Congress, ICE2018, the Organizing Committee will provide wide variety of scientific program associated with electrocardiology (ECG) studies. This Congress will focus on ECG from noninvasive diagnosis to prognosis covering basic electrophysiology, novel signal processing methods of Holter ECG, prognostic ECG techniques for preventing sudden cardiac death, applications of antiarrhythmic agents and direct oral anticoagulants, a critical role of catheter ablation for tachyarrhythmias, appropriate use of implantable devices, and so on. An attractive scientific program will be present to you, with the most important world leaders in this field. The ISE and ISHNE have a great ambition, and therefore it is our pleasure to invite all researchers, physicians, paramedical staffs involved in the field of ECG and arrhythmia to join us in this worldwide scientific event.
The conference center (Makuhari Messe) is located in water-front area in Chiba City. It is close to Tokyo and not so far from International Airport. You will take 40 minutes from Tokyo-Narita International Airport or 60 minutes from Tokyo-Haneda International Airport by public transportation such as express bus to the venue.
Looking forward to personally welcoming you in Chiba City, Japan
